Hi, I'm Ashley Dowse

In one way or another, I have been a interior designer at heart for as long as I can remember…My sense of style began to take shape as a child and was distinctly influenced by my parents, who founded the natural textile company Garnet Hill. I was always intrigued by colors, textures, design elements and when I was fourteen, I sat around drawing floor plans for myself and others.

As an adult, my home became my canvas; I was able to appoint and design my own sanctuary to elicit calm in one room, excitement in another, and the overall cohesive aesthetic I desired.  Design school soon followed, as my calling was clear.  Now, I help others to find their true style- whether it is as simple as incorporating a few meaningful pieces or remodeling an entire space or home- the end result is always to create an environment for the client that is unique, personal, and expressive.

Now the “official” stuff: I hold a BA in English and Psychology from the University of Vermont, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University, an EdM in Risk and Prevention from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and  an M.Ed in Emerging Technologies from Lesley University.

My background in Interior Design includes a Certificate in Interior Design from the New York Institute of Art and Design and an Associates Degree in Interior Design from Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA. I have also been the point person for multiple personal home renovations. Outside of my  love of design, I am passionate about making people laugh, travel, learning, volunteer work, curling up with a good book, music, and maintaining order amongst my nine animals!
